Jim Harbaugh, University of Michigan

The first coach on the list is Jim Harbaugh. This is a possibility of a college coach making the jump to the professional leagues. Harbaugh’s brother, John, is currently the head coach of the regular season AFC champion Baltimore Ravens.

Jim Harbaugh has had his difficulties at Michigan, but his upside is tremendous. Jim Harbaugh has in his blood to be as good as John Harbaugh. He could come in and give fresh eyes to the New Orleans Saints organization that few can.

Jim Harbaugh once coached in the NFL before going down to college. He coached from 2011-2014 with the San Francisco 49ers. During his four year tenure, Harbaugh went 44-19. He made it to the NFL playoffs three of the four years and went to the NFC championship in 2012.

That is the type of NFL winning experience that the New Orleans Saints could use if Payton leaves. Obviously there was a reason that Harbaugh made the jump down to college from the NFL, so the Saints would have to entire Harbaugh enough to get him to come.

However, it could be worth it.
