The Falcons seem to have the Saints’ number at least once per year.

Over the course of history, the Falcons lead the Saints 53-49 all-time. They have played 102 total games against each other in history. Recently in the last couple of decades, the Saints have been the ones leading the Falcons.

In the 2000s decade, the Saints won the matchup 13-7. In the 2010s, the Saints also won 12-8. Even looking as recent as last year when the Saints ended with an overall record of 13-3, one of those losses was to an obviously subpar Falcons’ team.

It seems as though, even when the Saints have a superior team to the Falcons, Atlanta always finds a way to sneak a win in every year against the Saints. I’m afraid that the psyche behind that statement might lead to that in this game.

There is a chance that this matchup is the one that New Orleans just ultimately bombs. It wouldn’t surprise me with a new quarterback and subpar receiving corps as of late. All the hype is on the black and gold and that might be a bad thing.
