The New Orleans Saints watched their future Hall of Fame QB Drew Brees go down last week, and they’ll be forced to see if Jameis Winston can fill his shoes.

I think a lot of people forget that Jameis Winston was a former No. 1 overall pick and still has what it takes to compete at the highest level of football. He’ll be a terrific leader for the Saints while Brees is sidelined.

Jameis Winston could do one of two things with his sudden opportunity to take the reigns of the New Orleans Saints offense.

He could either pull a Teddy Bridgewater and play so well that he gets money he rightfully deserves following the season, or he could play like the 1.1 million dollars the Saints signed him for. It’s up to him which version comes out in the next few weeks.

Obviously, Saints fans are hoping he can come in and thrive during Drew Brees’ absence and keep the team in Super Bowl contention and I’m here to give you three reasons why I believe he can do just that.
