The Saints’ future Hall of Fame quarterback came away from Sunday’s win with an injury that might cost the team big time.

Another week, another Sunday win for the black and gold. The Saints came away with a 27-13 win against the San Francisco 49ers who beat them in a 100 total points shootout last year. That helped the Saints improve to 7-2 on the year.

They also kept their winning streak alive and pushed it to six games. While New Orleans was celebrating their Week 10 win, future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees was in pain and hurting from a hit to the chest he took earlier in the game.

After a day of MRI’s and tests, it was confirmed on Monday that Brees had multiple broken ribs on either side of his chest, and his right lung was collapsed. An injury that was very painful and might need extended time to heal to the point of starting again.

As far as how long that might be, everyone is currently speculating. In his place, Jameis Winston will be the Week 11 starter for the Saints. As a result, some players might see and a setback or an increase in stats over the weeks without Brees.
