Kwon Alexander records his first tackle as a Saint against his former team

It was coming down to crunch time in the NFL as the deadline was only days away. People were speculating if the Saints were going to be sellers or buyers in the next couple of days. It turned out they would be buyers — for one person.

That person ended up being ex-49er linebacker Kwon Alexander. Alexander was brought into New Orleans for Kiko Alonso and a fifth-round pick. He was expected to strengthen up the middle of the defense and give balance to Demario Davis.

After being inactive last week, Alexander made his debut in the black and gold last Sunday against his former team. Alexander finished the game with two solo tackles, two assisted tackles, and 0.5 tackles for a loss.

Alexander’s first tackle against his former team was a sight to behold. He got after the running game and the quarterback. The Saints are feeling lucky this Thanksgiving to be plus one elite linebacker more than they had before.
