Midway through the 2020 season, here is a look at the 2021 NFL Draft for the Saints and a 3-round ‘way too early’ mock draft.

Midway through the 2020 NFL season, the Saints are sitting pretty at 6-2 with the lead in the NFC South. If they keep this up, they will be looking at a top-three playoff spot, and hopefully, they will earn themselves a bye with the No. 1 overall spot in the NFC.

The only problem with doing so well in the season and playoffs is that you never get a high draft pick in the following offseason’s NFL Draft. It has been years since the Saints have had a pick inside of the Top 15 draft picks.

Either way, they have still found a way to make the most out of their selections. Last year, they drafted a lineman in the first round so they could drop another lineman and save some money. They also consolidated a lot of their latter picks for two third-round picks.

If there is one thing the Saints know how to do right, it is developing rookies into stars. In fact, most of the studs that the Saints have on their team were drafted and molded into the stars that they are today.

With that in mind, let’s take a ‘way too early’ look at a three-round mock draft for the Saints in the upcoming 2021 offseason. I am going to assume the Saints make the Super Bowl and give them the No. 31 slot as I have seen on multiple mock drafts.
