The New Orleans Saints have reached the halfway point in the season. We look back at the second four-game stretch and then look forward to upcoming games.
When a team is 6-2 halfway through their season, that’s a great place to be. For the New Orleans Saints, it’s a fortunate place to be as well. This team hadn’t looked much like a 6-2 team through much of the first half of the season.
Injuries certainly hampered the Saints to this point.
COVID-19 took out a top player for a couple of weeks as well. But mostly, it’s simply been middling football and less than good defensive play that’s had many black and gold faithful shaking their heads.
But 6-2 is a good record, and it is about where this team should be. And with a strong Sunday night performance against the then division-leading team, the Saints look to be preparing to fire on all cylinders down the stretch.
We’ll take a look back at the last four contests bringing us to the halfway mark and peek into the future.
