Number Three: Cameron Wake

Cameron Wake is a defensive end who has been dominating in the NFL since 2009 and could add an insane level of pass rush ability to the New Orleans Saints’ front seven. Wake, 38, is the kind of pass rusher Super Bowl-caliber teams add to their rosters to help rotate and keep their defensive line fresh.

The Saints should consider doing the same thing.

Yes, the Saints defensive line has been one of the strongest areas for the team so far this season, but all it takes is one injury or positive COVID test and you could be missing a crucial player or two. In order to avoid this problem, the Saints should add the services of five-time Pro Bowler Cameron Wake to add depth to the defensive end unit.

Marcus Davenport has been good when healthy and so has Trey Hendrickson and Cameron Jordan, but it still feels like the team could use another big name pass rusher, and the pursuit of Jadeveon Clowney this offseason proves that the Saints are indeed interested in another.

Wake has recorded 364 tackles, 99 tackles for a loss, 224 quarterback hits, two safeties, 22 forced fumbles, and 100.5 sacks in his NFL career and would provide great depth for the Saints.

Wake would be a cheap player to acquire as well and could make a huge difference in the black and gold.
