A.J. Green, Cincinnati Bengals

A.J. Green is a player that wanted out of Cincinnati, but instead of them risking that this offseason, they placed a franchise tag on him that, while it gave him more money and made him stay in Cincinnati, but it might not be long term.

They can only do that for one year though.

So this season might be Green’s last in Cincinnati. If the Bengals were willing to try and get something for Green, the Saints should have been game to offer them something they would have taken in return. Winning could have done the trick.

A.J. Green has had a history of injuries, but hopefully they are behind him. He missed all last year due to an injury. Theoretically, he just missed the first part of the season and then sat out the remainder as to not get hurt again before his contract was up.

Over the first five weeks of this season, A.J. Green has had 31 receptions on 63 targets for 316 yards and zero touchdowns. The Saints could have gotten a quality receiver in Green — especially with the receiver injuries the Saints have had.
