The New Orleans Saints will take to the road and travel down to Tampa to take on the Tom Brady-led Buccaneers in their Week 9 matchup.

There’s no denying the New Orleans Saints season has been anything but pretty. Coming into the season, they were regarded as one of the league’s best teams in the NFC. They’ve looked anything but that.

They’ve trailed in all seven games along with having four straight victories, all of which were by just one score. The Saints are 5-2, but they’re far from the dominant team that many thought they’d be.

At the end of the day, they’re still winning though which is all that matters.

While their Week 3 matchup with the Green Bay Packers was a good gauge early in the season, they’ll get yet another tough test which could go down as the difference-maker in the race for the NFC South. Traveling to Tampa, the Saints will take on a Bucs team that is streaking.

Having figured their strengths out while still not being at full strength, the Bucs have rallied off three straight and have won six of the last seven. Those victories include a 28-point win over the Packers.

Brady has thrown 18 touchdowns and two interceptions since his Week 1 meeting with the Saints. Without Chris Godwin as well, Brady is still thriving. He’s been figuring out the system, and while Godwin may not be back yet, the team will have Antonio Brown for Week 9.

Evans, who hasn’t played well against Marshon Lattimore, will combine with Brown to give the Saints serious issues. Those two along with one of the most aggressive and dominant defensive fronts will give New Orleans all they can handle.

This will be a test for New Orleans. They may sail to the playoffs with only a few losses, but if those are to Tampa Bay, Kansas City, Green Bay and Oakland, then no one will feel confident as they may have to take on teams like Seattle and Arizona.
