Ties the middle of the field together

One month ago in another article post-Week 1, I said this, “They are going to have to fix things in hopes to be a Super Bowl-caliber team. If they could add one more quality linebacker, then the whole core of the Saints defense would undoubtedly be one of, if not the, best in the NFL.

Let’s also note the team could toss a few Day 2 picks as they could have compensatory picks coming their way in 2021.” It is almost like the team listened to everything I said. They want to win this thing.

Well, they’re favorites to do just that, they added a quality linebacker that will tie up the middle of the field and bring the core together. That middle linebacker plays at the core of the whole defense and Alexander is a player I would want in that position.

The lineman will also be more assured that their backs are held up and the secondary will feel as though they don’t have to worry underneath as much. In reality, the addition of Kwon Alexander helps all the defenders relax a little.
