Kamara is that good

Alvin Kamara is a big-time player.

He was Drew Brees’ most consistent target against the Bears, and they relied on him, at times, too much. Tossing Kamara screens is an effective way to work the ball downhill, but a few times they weren’t productive as Chicago guessed it was coming with ease.

At the end of the day, Kamara still proved he’s among the league’s best dual-threat receivers, totaling 67 yards on 12 carries and another 96 yards on 9 receptions. He led the team in both categories.

The Saints scored two touchdowns, and the only blemish of Kamara’s game is that he didn’t find the endzone either of those times. Kamara, who struggled to find the endzone in 2019, has already crushed that total this year.

He’s been terrific, and he continued that trend in this game. He’s continuing to prove he’s among the most elusive backs in the game.
