Alvin Kamara

To say that Alvin Kamara is the heart and soul of this Saints’ offense would almost be a disservice. He leads the team in rushes, rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns halfway through the year.

There is absolutely nothing about Kamara not to like.

There were questions in the offseason if he was going to hold out until he got a new contract. He didn’t hold out, and the Saints rewarded him with one of the biggest running back contracts in the NFL.

Kamara took that new contract and showed the Saints exactly why he is worth that much money. He is on pace for career numbers in almost every stat category. This could end up being a record year for the star back.

Especially if Michael Thomas is going to continue to miss games, Kamara’s role is just so important to the Saints. If they want to win a Super Bowl, Kamara is going to have to be a part of this team going forward, there is no chance they trade him.

He’s been one of the best dual-threat backs in the NFL and was almost single-handedly the team’s offense against Chicago.
