Golden Tate

The fourth player on our list may be on a downhill slide on his career, but he’s still got plenty left in the tank. That player is wide receiver Golden Tate who is currently under contract with the New York Giants.

Tate hasn’t been great this season, but he wouldn’t be expected to come in and be Michael Thomas. He’s not even going to beat out Emmanuel Sanders, but what he would do is provide depth.

He’s had longevity throughout this career, and with 20 receptions and ten first downs this seasons, he’s shown that he stay in games and produce, something the Saints haven’t been able to get out of Tre’Quan Smith throughout his three seasons.

Tate would be a slight upgrade over Smith, but he wouldn’t cost much to get which is where the more reaslistic side of Tate’s additions comes into play. He’s not Gilmore or Watt, but he is a name most around the football universe know.

A former Pro Bowler, Tate would add another realible option for Brees and the Saints.
