The New England Patriots took a chance late on free-agent quarterback Cam Newton and it has paid massive dividends for New England who just lost their future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady to the Buccaneers in free agency.
However, outside of Cam Newton, their offense is missing a lot of pieces to be successful. They have probably found their running back in Damien Harris now that he is back from injury. Their defense is also top-notch.

That leaves their receivers. N’Keal Harry has been a huge step up talent for the team. Edelman is sort of phasing out of the game. This team could really use a playmaker like Michael Thomas to really bring their offense to the next level.
Cam Newton, outside of the last bits of Steve Smith’s career, has not really had a superstar talent like Michael Thomas at the receiver. This could totally revitalize Newton’s game and the Patriots offense. They are even looking into trading Stephon Gillmore anyway.
