Number Three: Brian Poole

The New Orleans Saints could certainly use another cornerback to add to the mix, especially one they could get for cheap from a team looking to sell the house.

Brian Poole is only making five million dollars with the New York Jets this season and has certainly outplayed that number through the first six weeks of the season. Poole, 28, has just one season left on his contract and would be the perfect number three cornerback to add to the mix in New Orleans.

Poole has played above expectations with the Jets through six games and has recorded 33 tackles, two tackles for a loss, one quarterback hit, one sack, six passes defended, and two interceptions.

Poole would join a secondary that doesn’t have a player with more than one interception and his arrival would be fully welcomed. Poole can also play both safety and cornerback, giving the Saints defense some added versatility.

Next. 5 trade suggestions the New Orleans Saints should consider. dark

The Saints likely wouldn’t have to offer much as the Jets are looking to build for the future so if the Saints come calling there’s no reason why the team shouldn’t add Poole’s services.
