The New Orleans Saints should trade defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins given the depth on their roster and his potential trade market.

Saints’ Sheldon Rankins is the most likely candidate to be dealt on or before the 2020 NFL trade deadline, and there will likely be a plethora of teams looking to acquire the services of the former first round pick.

Rankins is a very talented defensive tackle who back in 2017 put up the best statistics of his career. Rankins will likely be a highly sought after prospect, especially since the Saints likely won’t be asking too much in return.

The 26-year-old Rankins played just ten games last season, and his lack of durability could be one reason the team chooses to move on from him. The Saints should be able to get some solid draft capital back for the former top-15 pick.

With Rankins’ trade being all but in writing, let’s dive in and take a look at three teams who could be interested in the 305-pound defensive tackle.
