Jameis Winston to Dallas

If the New Orleans Saints aren’t going to play Jameis Winston, they should trade him.

He knew coming into the season that signing with New Orleans may mean playing second fiddle to Drew Brees for the entire season. Given he had the most interceptions in the league in 2019, fixing that problem was worth the wait.

He seemingly believed Sean Payton and the franchise’s elite coaching staff could solve those issues. Now, with a plethora of injuries throughout the NFL, the Saints need to get some draft capital for him if they don’t plan to re-sign him.

For Winston, Dallas would be the perfect fit. He has big-play receivers and an elite offensive line.

He could be the missing piece for Dallas, a team still trying to contend in a horrible NFC East. Winston led the league in passing in 2019 with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. If you give him CeeDee Lamb, Amari Cooper, and Michael Gallup, special things may happen.

Both sides should want this deal to happen unless New Orleans truly views him as their next franchise quarterback.
