Tre’Quan Smith to San Francisco

The San Francisco 49ers have been banged up this season.

While they have been able to recently get Deebo Samuel back, the Niners need more, and they may be able to give a bit of draft capital for Saints’ third-year receiver Tre’Quan Smith. The Niners are 3-3, and they are at the bottom of the NFC West.

Smith isn’t great. He’s not going to be a game-changing receiver, but he would be able to give Jimmy Garoppolo another steady target. With Michael Thomas having been sidelined since Week 1, Smith has been able to step up, taking in 16 receptions for 194 yards on the season.

At 6-foot-2, Smith is a big target and could give problems to opposing defenses as George Kittle present a player they’re almost forced to double team. Smith has struggled to stay on the field, but his health has been good to go this season.

The Saints haven’t been able to get the most out of Smith, and with the rise of Marquez Callaway, trading away Smith would make sense for New Orleans.
