Brandin Cooks, Houston Texans

Brandin Cooks played with the Saints from 2014 to 2016, his first three years in the NFL. With Drew Brees as his quarterback, Cooks was able to go over 1,000 yards receiving in two of those seasons. He also caught a combined 20 touchdowns in three seasons.

Since then, Cooks has played for the New England Patriots in 2017 and the Los Angeles Rams in 2018-2019. Now, he finds himself a part of the Houston Texans who just traded away DeAndre Hopkins this offseason.

In the two seasons after his departure from New Orleans, Cooks caught over 1,000 and even set his career season-high with 1,204 in 2018. Due to injury, his stats declined in the 2019 season, and he only caught 583 yards.

Through six games this season, Cooks is yet again on pace to break another 1,000 yard season which would be the fifth time in his eight-year career. It’s hard to imagine that this star once played for the Saints under Brees.
