Number Three: Jared Cook

Jared Cook is one of the most unlikely to be dealt at the trade deadline on November 3, 2020, but his name is worth mentioning. Cook hasn’t been the Pro Bowl-caliber tight end we all thought he would be when the Saints signed him before last season.

Cook only had a strong season towards the end of last season which prompted the Saints to hold onto him this season.

However in four games this season, Cook has only hauled in 11 receptions, for 166 receiving yards, and two touchdowns. The Saints also still have Josh Hill and newly drafted Adam Trautman on the roster who could easily take his place in the offense.

Cook’s contract is set to expire following this season and there’s a strong chance the Saints won’t be able to bring him back anyway. The Saints would be doing themselves a displeasure if they don’t at least field offers for the Pro Bowl tight end.

It should be a fun and exciting trade deadline for New Orleans this season.
