Andrus Peat

Andrus Peat signed a massive deal worth $57 million over a five-year span. The contract also included almost $33 million guaranteed. It was a great offseason, to say the least, for the Pro Bowl guard and the Saints.

From broken arms to ankle injuries, Peat’s body has certainly taken a beating since he was drafted into the NFL in 2015. In fact, since he entered the NFL, Peat has never played all 16 games of any season in five years.

Andrus Peat saw another injury in training camp before the season this year. He ended up missing the final three weeks leading up to the season opener with an unidentified thumb injury. Just adding more to the list.

Because of this, the Saints just need to let the injury-prone guard go and trade him away for one that will play in all 16 games. With the deadline coming up, this could be a real possibility especially with what the Saints are currently paying for him.
