Number Two: Coaching Style

Sean Payton has always been considered as one of the most creative play-callers in NFL history, but recently his play-calling has been questionable, to say the least, and is becoming far more predictable than it once was.

Sean Payton coaches as if it was still 2009, he loves to throw the ball and run when he absolutely has to. The problem with that method of coaching is he’s no longer playing to his team’s strengths.

The Saints have Drew Brees, but his arm strength has clearly declined and he has young weapons such as Alvin Kamara, Deonte Harris, and a great offensive line he could be using more in the offense instead.

The Saints aren’t a team who are going to burn you deep ten times a game anymore. They are now a team that needs to run the ball to open up the pass like traditional coaches.

Payton has also been taking Drew Brees out of the game at questionable times in favor of Taysom Hill who is as predictable as they come. Sean Payton needs to get back to his normal self or his job could be in jeopardy.
