Number One: Drama

Despite how successful the New Orleans Saints have been in recent years, Sean Payton hasn’t shied away from being in the middle of a whole lot of drama both on the field and off of it.

Payton, who has a career coaching record of 134-79 with the Saints, tends to hurt the organization with his attitude more often than not.

Sean Payton has constantly been putting the Saints in awkward positions during games with his excessive argument of officiating mistakes, his surplus amount of fines most recently including a 100,000 dollar fine he obtained for refusing to wear a mask on the sidelines and his constant skepticism of the NFL and the commissioner Roger Goodell.

There’s no doubt that Sean Payton is one of the main reasons why the Saints are hated amongst the NFL’s teams and officials, but his constant drama on the field and with players don’t help ease the pain.

Many players who have left New Orleans have gone on the record to blast Sean Payton’s coaching style and decision making which has oftentimes steered away valuable free agents and coaches from wanting to work in the Big Easy.
