Andrus Peat

Given a massive five-year, $57.5 million deal, Andrus Peat hasn’t lived up to the hype. A two-time Pro Bowler, Peat has played and started in four games, missing Week 4 along with five starters due to injury. Peat being injured shouldn’t shock anyone at this point.

He has yet to play a full season and hasn’t even hit over 13 in the past two years either. This is Peat’s sixth season in the league, and he’s doing well now having just missed that one Week 4 game which happened to be a victory over the Lions.

Even when he’s on the field Peat isn’t oftentimes playing the vast majority of offensive snaps. While he did have nine penalties his first Pro Bowl season, Peat’s one holding in 2020 came at a crucial point, forcing fans to remember just how penalty prone he’s been.

Peat has potential, and his versatility on the line is why they paid him as one of the elite tackles in the league. Sadly, with an out after the third year, it’s hard to think Peat will be around for the long-term future.
