3 directions the Saints season can go from this point on

New Orleans could continue to lose games and get a high draft pick

The Saints have a pretty hard schedule on the horizon that includes the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. If they continue to lose games, at least two in the next three, they should continue to lose games to get a high draft pick.

The Saints have been notorious for using draft picks and turning them into stars. For example, the Saints drafted Alvin Kamara, Michael Thomas, and Marshon Lattimore. They are all respective NFL stars at their positions.

If the Saints get a high draft pick, they could turn a player into another star. It would likely be Drew Brees’ last season if that was to happen, but that might not be a bad thing based on how he is currently playing through the first five games of the season.

Either way, this path would not be good for the present but might turn out to be better for the future. However, that is not the path that I, nor any fans, want the Saints to take coming out of their bye week for the rest of the season.
