Alvin Kamara – Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year

When I first was thinking about these awards, I knew Alvin Kamara was going to be my most valuable player, but I tried to split up the MVP from the offensive player of the year award. I searched and I searched but to no avail.

There has literally been no other offensive player even as close to as dominant as Kamara currently is.

With Michael Thomas sitting out the first five games of the season (his production in Week 1 felt like he was basically sitting out), Kamara leads the team in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns.

That is all on top of him already leading the team in rushes, rushing yards, and rushing touchdowns. He leads every offensive stat other than passing on the Saints. For that reason, I believe that Kamara deserves both of these awards.

The New Orleans Saints are off to a 3-2 start. It is worse than what we expected from this team, but it is not detrimental to their playoff odds. They are still on top of the NFC East and on their way to the top of the NFC.
