Early in the season for the Saints, let’s look at some players that have been dominant enough to be hopefuls for end-of-the-year awards.

The New Orleans Saints have not had the start to the season that they were hoping for; in fact, it has been almost depressing after the last season and offseason that they had. However, the team will continue to press forward.

They have bounced back from an under .500 record at 1-2 with two wins.

They are now sitting at 3-2 with an above .500 record. After their Week 6 bye, they’ll look to add another win against a divisional opponent, the 3-2 Carolina Panthers for the lead in the NFC South.

When you look at what the individual players for the Saints have done, there are several players who have played above their expectations. These players are fights for our Saints’ end of the year awards similar to the NFL’s.

We will be handing out and predicting four awards — Defensive Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Most Valuable Player. Here are the early frontrunners for the Saints for these awards.
