The Washington Football Team has benched Dwayne Haskins. He may be on the trading block soon. Should the Saints trade for him?

According to Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports, if Dwayne Haskins were to be traded, one of the five most logical landing spots would be in New Orleans with the Saints. It may make sense to him, but to most fans, it seems off.

This certainly is an intriguing take to gnaw on for a little bit as it’s brutally obvious that Drew Brees’ arm strength is going downhill and the team will be needing a replacement sooner rather than later to take the reigns in the Big Easy.

Taysom Hill is the apparent heir, but he’s been heavily struggling for most of this season, and his upside as a quarterback just doesn’t seem there. Jameis Winston is another option, but the Saints may not be able to pay him after his one-year contract is up.

That said, Haskins has a ton of untapped potential that could make a team like the Saints chomp at the bits on trying to land the 2019 first-round draft pick.
