After five weeks, there are several New Orleans Saints players already fighting to stay a part of the team for the future — some maybe even the present.

The New Orleans Saints have not had the start to the season that they were hoping for; in fact, it has been almost depressing after the last season and offseason that they had. However, the team will continue to press forward.

They have bounced back from an under .500 record at 1-2 with two wins. They are now sitting at 3-2 with an above .500 record. After their Week 6 bye, they’ll look to add another win against a divisional opponent, the 3-2 Carolina Panthers for the lead in the division.

When you look at what the individual players for the Saints have done, there are several players who have not played up to their expectations. There are also some players who are in jeopardy of losing the starting position that they have.

On top of that, some of them are in jeopardy of losing their future with the team after this year. Whether it is due to their own play or the play of others, five weeks into the year three players specifically find themselves on the chopping block.
