Number One: Emmanuel Sanders

Emmanuel Sanders easily had the best game out of anyone else on the New Orleans offense. Sanders needed to silence the doubters and step up into the big-name wide receiver he was brought to town to be, and he did just that against the Chargers.

Sanders hauled in a career-high 12 receptions last night for 122 receiving yards on 14 targets.

He also managed to find the end zone but after the score was reviewed it was shown on replay that his knee fell just short of the goal line before he could extend the ball across the plane. Sadly, he was held scoreless all game.

Sanders needed to ball out for the Saints tonight as Michael Thomas was benched for getting into an altercation with defensive back Chauncey Gardner-Johnson at practice last week.

Brees went to Sanders early and often and his speed and agility bailed the Saints out of many sticky situations. Having Week 6 off could allow Sanders some time to heal up and hopefully continue this success.
