Malik Hooker, S, Indianapolis Colts

Malik Hooker, like Desmond King, has been in the league since 2017. He was drafted out of Ohio State University where he dominated. He has pretty much translated that domination to the NFL over the last three years.

Since his rookie year, he has totaled seven interceptions in only 33 games. He also has 11 passes defended, two fumble recoveries, and 124 tackles (one for a loss). Hooker has made a living out of picking off quarterbacks downfield.

As for this year, the safety only played in two games before tearing his Achilles and making the transition to the injured reserve for the remainder of the season. This will make it easier for the Saints to have a chance to pry him from the Colts.

This would be a blockbuster trade, but instead of the Saints going all out for this year, this would be a trade for a player in his prime to take over for Malcolm Jenkins next season. Hooker is on pace to play the beginning of next year.
