Desmond King, CB, Los Angeles Chargers

Desmond King was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers out of Iowa in 2017. He has played with the organization since then. Over the span of the first three years of his career, King has totaled 4 interceptions and 17 passes defended.

On top of that, he also adds two forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, 6.5 sacks, and 204 tackles (14 of which were for a loss). Those are pretty good stats for a cornerback’s first three seasons in the league which is why he is a target.

He also added one First-Team All-Pro to his resume. Throughout the first four games of this season, he already has 15 tackles on the year. He is having a down year which would be the perfect time for the Saints to grab him.

The Chargers as a whole have only had three takeaways in four games (two interceptions and one fumble recovery). King can also play two positions as well cornerback and free safety making him a versatile secondary player that Sean Payton would love.
