Vonn Bell, Cincinnati Bengals

Vonn Bell was let go by the Saints in free agency this year. He was drafted by the Saints and a product of the culture in New Orleans. He played four seasons with the black and gold before making the transition to the black and orange.

He was a leader on New Orleans’ defense and now is on the Cincinnati defense. Sunday, the Bengals played the Jacksonville Jaguars. Vonn Bell had five combined tackles in the game (three solo and two assisted) which is a little lower than his average so far.

Through the first three weeks, Bell was averaging eight tackles per game. However, Bell did guide his defense in Week 4 to their first win of the season. That might not sound like a reason to praise, but when you are a Bengals fan, wins are hard to come by.

For this reason, Vonn Bell is on the list of former Saints players to be impressive in Week 4. However, Bell’s biggest contribution this week is not on the stat sheet, but it is on the record for the Bengals this season.
