Week 4 was a wild week with the first signs of COVID-19 that the NFL has seen; also, former Saints players balled out for other teams.

The New Orleans Saints looked to pick up where they left off in Week 3 at the beginning of Week 4 — absolutely terrible. However, they quickly turned it around and dominated the Lions the rest of the game with a bounce-back victory in Week 4.

It has not been the start of the 2020 NFL season that the Saints have hoped for. They started off 1-2 before their Week 4 win that brought them back to .500 on the season. Things have changed though in part to who they have let go of the past couple of seasons.

The Saints have been involved heavily in the free-agent market over the last decade, between letting go of and signing the players that they need to fulfill the holes on the team — or so they thought they were doing what was best.

In Week 4, there were several players that played well who used to play for the Saints. For whatever reason New Orleans let them go, they are probably wishing that they had kept them instead based on how they are playing.

Here are three of the top former Saints from Week 4.
