The New Orleans Saints are coming into Week 4 riding a two-game losing streak and must find a way to bounce back in the Motor City.

Due to an uncharacteristic, and thus unforeseen, lack of discipline (among other things), the New Orleans Saints find themselves in the precarious position of heading to Detroit to face off against a Lions’ team that shares their record (1-2).

Despite not starting off 2-0 since 2013, the past three seasons have been the Saints’ best since their fabled Super Bowl run.

One thing we’ve learned about this young team: they feed off adversity; they operate best when they dig themselves a hole that only their tenacious play could ever bring them out of. It’s a positive and a negative.

Nevertheless, a 1-3 start wouldn’t only be worrisome, it would be the worst start to a season for Sean Payton since 2016 when the team finished 7-9 and did not reach the playoffs.

If the Saints hope to reclaim their Week 1 swagger, they need to right the ship and remind the league they are not force to be ignored, and they can do so by handing the Lions a finely crafted loss come high noon (Central/Standard time) Sunday.

Let’s take a look at three Saints who must show up and show out in order to reignite this season’s momentum.
