After a dismal Week 2 performance, the New Orleans Saints are on their way to play their first real home test of the season against the Green Bay Packers.

The New Orleans Saints are desperately looking to bounce back from an embarrassing loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in front of the whole country on Monday Night. That might not be easy though as this week they get the Green Bay Packers.

Quarterback: GB

Both Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees have been atop this position for the last decade. However, Rodgers is younger and quicker, and I believe still has more to give to his team than Brees. For this reason, I am picking Aaron Rodgers.

Running Back: NO

This one is as close as it was last week at this position. Aaron Jones is a monster, but so is Alvin Kamara. I think this comes down more to the duo of Kamara and Murray vs Jones. However, taking into account the defensive lines makes it almost too close to call.

Wide Receiver: NO/GB

Michael Thomas is almost a sure-fire out for the New Orleans Saints. If Davante Adams is out as well, then I am taking the Saints. If he plays, then Green Bay will have the better receiving core entering this game.

Tight End: NO

Last week the Saints played one of the best tight ends in the league and got smoked. This week, the position isn’t as good. I am taking the likes of Jared Cook over either Jace Sternberger or Marcedes Lewis for Green Bay.

Offensive Line: NO

There is no denying that, when healthy, the Saints have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. With Ruiz is back, I am taking the Saints without even considering it. However, it is closer than it was with the Raiders last week.

Defensive Line: GB

The Saints got to the quarterback seven times on Sunday and sacked him three times. The Raiders on the other hand got to the quarterback three times and sacked him once. With the strength of the offensive lines opposing them, the Saints line will do better.

Linebackers: NO

New Orleans’ linebackers struggled last week against the Raiders. However, it seems that the Green Bay linebackers struggle worse. Last season, the Green Bay linebackers ranked below 20 in the NFL, and the offseason didn’t improve them.

Cornerback: NO

The duo of Janoris Jenkins and Marshon Lattimore might be the best that the team has ever had. Lattimore is continuing to get better, and Jenkins is continuing to learn the system. Both should grow stronger together each and every week.

Safety: GB

According to Sam Monson from PFF, “Amos typifies the term “solid” and will make few mistakes. Savage has game-changing skills, but we have yet to see those translate to the NFL, with just two picks and two pass breakups as a rookie alongside 14 missed tackles.”

Special Teams: NO

Wil Lutz, outside of Harrison Butker and Justin Tucker, is the best kicker in football, and Thomas Morestead respectively at punter. There are not many special team units that can compare to how good the Saints are.
