The New Orleans Saints are 1-1 entering Week 3 of the season. After a horrible Week 2 performance, could it be time for some change?

The New Orleans Saints had three very good quarterbacks last year on their roster that proved needful. After retaining Taysom Hill and Drew Brees, they added Jameis Winston and upgraded their backup spot to Drew Brees.

However, through two seasons, Jameis Winston is the only quarterback on the Saints roster not to take one snap yet. He has seen 0% of the snaps while Hill has played in 25% in Week 1 and 23% in Week 2 — not all at quarterback though.

The reason for Hill’s increased snaps is that he plays four offensive positions which is why he is still on the roster in the first place. However, after Drew Brees’ first two performances, it is time to start thinking about when the Saints will give Jameis Winston a shot.

“The last two weeks, I think it’s been average at best offensively,” Payton said, via the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “We’re not functioning well enough and taking advantage of some of the opportunities we’ve had.”

Payton is not wrong on the lackluster performance of his offense. As a result, here are three reasons that Payton should give Winston a shot to perform.
