Their offensive line will be healthy

While Marcus Davenport and Michael Thomas out, the New Orleans Saints will be down a few absolute game-changers. While they may cast a showcase over the injury report, it should be noted that Cesar Ruiz practice in full and will be a go to make his rookie debut.

That means we’ll get to see Andrus Peat, Terron Armstead, Cesar Ruiz, Erik McCoy, and Ryan Ramczyk all on the field, protecting Drew Brees. Jared Cook and Taysom Hill will also be healthy and potentially on the line.

That should also mean our Week 2 rookie report has a bit more substance to it after the rookie were for the most part missing in action last week. We aren’t sure if Adam Trautman and Zack Baun will see any more go in their second week active.

The Saints allowed Brees to get hit a few times last Sunday which is a rarity for this line, one of the best in the NFL. With multiple linemen that were awarded at the end of the 2019 season, this unit returned 80 percent of its starters, releasing their three-time Pro Bowl guard Larry Warford.

This will be a huge strength for New Orleans and a clear reason why they’ll get by the Raiders on Monday night.
