Number Three: Taysom Hill

There’s no doubt about it here.

Taysom Hill gives the New Orleans Saints’ offense life when it needs it most. The Saints’ offense can be dull at times with a declining Drew Brees at the helm, but when Taysom Hill checks into the game, it seems to provide a spark that the team always needs.

Hill is one of the most versatile players in the NFL and is taking up a large portion of the Saints’ salary cap but still only played 29 total snaps against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Saints have Jameis Winston on the roster, so there is no reason why Hill can’t be on the field more than he is.

Hill managed to rush for 13 yards, hauled in 14 yards receiving, and tossed for 38 yards. If Hill played more, he could have been the player of the game for the lackluster Saints offense. Hill is paid like a star, and now he needs to be played as such.

That said, all three could see varying snap counts in Week 2. For Hill and Harris, they should see a bit more time on the field. It’ll be interesting how the team opts to use Swearinger.
