Kamara/Murray need to be better than Week 1

It was great to finally see the Saints utilize Murray as much as they did in the run game on Sunday. Murray is the better north to south, between tackles rusher and he proved me right rushing 15 times for 48 yards averaging 3.2 yards per carrying — even without a breakout run.

I want to see Murray keep that up or even break out. If he could keep the 3.2 yards per carry in Week 2, that’s all I want to see. However, it would be beneficial if his biggest run was greater than eight yards, but we will see.

Kamara, on the other hand, had a fantastic day in the air. He caught five passes for 51 yards and a touchdown. Along with his touchdown on the ground, he had himself a day. Even though, we need to see more out of Kamara’s running game.

Even with Murray’s 15 carries, Kamara still carried the ball 12 times. The two stories were vastly different though. Kamara only took those 12 carries for 16 yards averaging 1.3 yards per carry. That is what needs to be better in Week 2.
