Number Three: Tre’Quan Smith

Tre’Quan Smith is an underwhelming wide receiver for the New Orleans who can really blossom into a solid player with a strong opportunity.

Smith, a 2018 third-round pick, was supposed to be competing for the number three receiving spot on the roster, but that seems to be a carousel of guys for the time being.

In Week 1 against Tampa Bay, Smith only managed to muster up one reception for four yards, but that doesn’t change the potential the kid has. Smith has always seemed to catch all of Drew Brees’ milestones and has a special toughness about him that reigns similar to Michael Thomas’.

Smith now has 47 career receptions, ten of which have been touchdowns. If the Saints simply want to straight down the depth chart then Smith is likely the option.

It’s unsure just how productive Smith will be, but I think he can shine against a weak Raiders secondary.
