Number One: Emmanuel Sanders

The most obvious candidate to see an increased role on the offense of the New Orleans Saints is the team’s biggest free-agent signing and current number two wideout Emmanuel Sanders. Sanders is a huge upgrade over the Saints’ No. 2 receiver last year.

Sanders, 33, managed to haul in three receptions for fifteen yards and a touchdown in last Sunday’s victory and is hoping to see a larger role with the team in the coming weeks, with or without Thomas on the field.

Sanders is very well known for his exciting run after the catch ability, a talent he has showcased quite often in his eleven-year NFL career. Sanders is already considered to be a leader in the wide receiver room and is a very well respected all across the NFL.

If Michael Thomas were to miss any time with his high ankle sprain, Emmanuel Sanders would fit terrifically in the number one spot for the team.
