The New Orleans Saints have suffered a plethora of injuries the last few seasons, but none would be more impactful than playing without Michael Thomas.

Following Week 1’s victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it was announced that 2019 NFL Offensive Player of the Year Michael Thomas was diagnosed with a high ankle sprain. The New Orleans Saints star may suit up for Monday Night Football.

Upon further investigation, it was reported by numerous sources that the star wide receiver would likely miss several weeks with the injury, even though Thomas himself wants to get back sooner rather than later.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter also tweeted that there’s some hope Thomas plays Monday, but given the nature of ankle injuries, it’s unlikely.

Although losing Thomas would be a blow to the team’s offense that was rather lifeless in Week 1, the team does have several players who could step up in the unwanted absence of Michael Thomas.

Here are the three guys who could make a big impact with the Saints in Michael Thomas’ absence.
