Is New Orleans’ defense the best in the league?

By most defensive league statistics in fantasy leagues, the Saints scored the most points of any defense that played this week. The only downfall to the Saints defense was the fact that they let the Buccaneers score 23 points.

Besides that, they had three sacks, two interceptions (one that was returned for a touchdown by Janoris Jenkins), one fumble recovery, and one blocked kick. That is a pretty good outing for an NFL defense in the first week playing a Hall of Fame-caliber quarterback.

The only two defenses who came close to the Saints were the Baltimore Ravens who only allowed six points and had an interception and the Washington Football Team who allowed 17 points but had 8 sacks against the Eagles.

ANSWER: The New Orleans Saints will continue to score top-five defensive numbers.

The New Orleans Saints have quite a few talented fantasy players on their team. Several questions were raised during their week one win against the divisional rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers, now they have been answered.
