Can Alvin Kamara keep up this production?

Unlike Michael Thomas owners, Alvin Kamara owners were thriving with him on Sunday. Kamara might have only run for 16 yards and a touchdown, but he also caught five passes for 51 yards and a touchdown. He had the second-highest yards on the team.

He was behind only Jared Cook, who had 5 receptions for 80 yards. Kamara owners were monitoring his situation closely as he was in contract negotiations with the Saints until those were settled on Saturday when he signed a 5-year, $75 million deal.

He proved Sunday that he was worth every one of those dollars. His fantasy owners are pleased to see that he hasn’t missed a beat from last year. In standard format, Kamara scored 18.70 points; in PPR format, he scored 23.70.

Kamara went into the game projected 21.52 so while he did good, Kamara just barely broke his projections. However, he had a 4th down touchdown called back because he stepped out of bounds before reaching the ball over the plain. It could have been a 30-plus-point performance.

ANSWER: Kamara will continue to average over 20 points per game going forward.
