The New Orleans Saints will take on the Tampa Bay Buccanneers Week 1 in what will be one of the most entertaining NFC South matchups of the year.

The NFC South, from top to bottom, improved this offseason. Overall, after everything has settled down, the New Orleans Saints are still the favorite to win the division.

The Saints brought in multiple high-profile picks and free agents while the Bucs and Panthers both dominated headlines with their free-agency additions. Even the Atlanta Falcons got in on the fun by adding running back Todd Gurley to the mix.

It’s going to be competitive, to say the least, something that couldn’t be said of the division a year ago. The 13-3 Saints ran away with the division as they notched their third straight double-digit win season and their second straight 13-win season.

However, like the two before, it ended in a disappointing postseason run. The Saints will hope players like Emmanuel Sanders and Malcolm Jenkins can help fix their postseason woes as they’ll bring more championship pedigree on both sides of the ball.

If the Saints are going to repeat their 13-win season, they’ll do so on the defensive side of the ball.  That said, let’s dive into three players that’ll be huge X factors for the Saints’ first game of the 2020 season.
