The New Orleans Saints will take the field Sunday to start their journey for a second Lombardi Trophy. Here’s how we predict the first eight games go.

It has been a long and convoluted New Orleans Saints offseason and preseason, or lack thereof. The sports world has been tumbled by the ravages of COVID-19. Football stayed largely above the fray because all of the crazy to this point happened in the NFL offseason.

But through good fortune and careful planning, the NFL is still poised to begin its season on time.

That means it is time for New Orleans Saints football! After a sour ending to last season, bowing out on Wild Card Weekend to the Minnesota Vikings, the Saints are likely more ready than ever to make one more run at the big game.

The rumor mill has worked overtime to try and determine if this will be Drew Brees’ last season in black and gold or not. We have already seen through the signings of Emmanuel Sanders, Ty Montgomery, and bringing back Malcolm Jenkins that the Saints mean business in 2020.

So how will all this play out in terms of wins and losses for the Black and Gold?

Here is the prediction for the 2020 season. As I have done in years past, I like to go by quarters of the season because sometimes picking the individual wins and losses is difficult. Quarters give a general idea of where the team should be.
