All teams had to cut their roster down to 53 men this past weekend. Among those cut, who should the New Orleans Saints pursue an opportunity?

In the most surprising cut that the New Orleans Saints made as part of narrowing down their 53-man roster, they released one of their best backup offensive lineman, Patrick Omameh. That leaves only four replacement lineman to the roster.

New Orleans has an injury-prone line, to say the least. Last year, Terron Armstead and Andrus Peat, among others, missed games which means the backup lineman is the second-most important second string to the linebackers.

Linebackers, on the other hand, need as much help as possible as well. They were already thin last year, and this year they lost some key players to free agency. With all teams having to cut their roster down to 53, it opens up opportunities.

It allows the Saints to field through players that other teams didn’t want that the New Orleans Saints could sign — most likely to their practice squad for now. Here are the top four players released and still available that the Saints should target.
