Number Three: Margus Hunt

Margus Hunt was signed by the New Orleans Saints this offseason to help add some size and depth to the Saints’ front seven. Hunt is an old, but serviceable veteran defensive end who has bounced around the league a little bit.

Hunt is a solid run-stuffing defensive end, but that’s about it.

He has excellent size standing at 6-foot-8 inches tall and weighing 298 pounds. Hunt would be very solid on special teams to help block field goals and extra-point attempts, but he has virtually no role in the New Orleans defense if Clowney comes to town.

He is already battling hard for a roster spot, but Clowney coming in would be the nail in the coffin. The Saints seem to want a more of an edge-rushing defensive end duo rather than a run-stuffing, pile creating edge defender.

If Clowney were to come to town, unfortunately, that would likely be the end of the road for Margus Hunt in New Orleans.
